Lucio has served in General and Executive Management roles for Citibank and Banco Santander for the last 25 years in Mexico, the United States, Puerto Rico and with responsibilities for different countries in Latin America. It has also undertaken the development of the digital credit issuing business for CellPay, Fintech with innovative non-traditional risk models.

His experience focuses on risk management, business growth, distribution channels, product development, and payments. He has managed credit portfolios in Mexico for more than $16 billion dollars in commercial loans for SMEs, mortgages, credit cards, payroll and consumer loans. He has actively participated in mergers, acquisitions and sales of financial entities and in the valuation of companies and credit portfolios. It also actively participates in structured financing for real estate projects. He is currently an Independent Director in various regulated financial entities.

Lucio has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is a Public Accountant from ITESM and has specialization programs in Risk, Fintech and Corporate Governance from IPADE and Harvard University.
